Aim of the course

This course will qualify participants with no formal educational background or experience to become effective SEN teachers or teaching assistants.
In responding to the immediate need for qualified SEN teachers to support the inclusion of students with disabilities in the Egypt.

This intensive training will include 18 hours of learning over the the half Term.

* University graduates from all subjects who like to work in international schools or the gulf as SEN teachers or STs or TAs
* Potential SEN Teachers and Shadow Teachers with no previous experience,currently employed as Shadow Teachers and are looking for further professional development.

Dr Hala Seliet
Dr. Hala Seliet is the president of the Egyptian British Education Association (EBEA) London and ex Secondary Programme Director for admission retention, recruitment and selection
on Initial Teacher Training in one of the UK universities.
From 2003-2009 Hala was also the South East adviser with the Department of Education in the transformation of learning and teaching in the post 16 sectors.
Hala over the past years ran so many national projects funded by the Department of Education to raise achievement and improve pupils’ performance. She also worked in so many reputable universities such as the Institute of Education.
Hala wrote so many books for schools and colleges and ran so they decided many training courses, insects and projects which were funded by the Department of Education and Skills. Hala was also principal examiner with one of the leading awarding bodies and an Advanced Skills Teacher
Currently Hala is the honouray Chair person with Misr Foundation for Education and Development. Hala is the founder of Educationlon is a National Security Project Initiative.

Dr. Maysa Abdellatif,
* Has a Master in Special Education (Inclusion and Disability Studies) from the University of London
* Works as Elementary teacher certification “Certificate of Qualification (CQ)” State of New Jersey.
* Has over 12 years of experience in academic assessing and teaching students with Speech and Language Difficulties as well as dyslexic students.
* Has over eight years of experience as a head of learning support department in schools following both American and British curricula.
On successful completion of the course participants will receive a certificate from ABAHRD and the British Egyptian Education Association in London.
